Indiana Boys Varsity Lacrosse vs Butler Golden Tornadoes

Indiana Indians hosted Butler Golden Tornadoes at the first home game of the season Friday. Though the sky was cloudy and drizzle was in the air, the Indians came out with determination. Unfortunately, Butler met the expectations, leaving Indiana scoreless in the first quarter and dominating the game with an ending first quarter score of 0:7.

The second quarter brought more frustration for the Indians. Penalties and turn overs riddled the game. However, with a glimmer of hope, senior Tavan Davis scored the first Indiana goal.

The third quarter brought more hope for the Indian’s with scores by sophomore Tanner Agnello (2) and senior’s Mikail Bajwa (1), Grant Harkleroad (1) and Conner Montgomery (1).

Going into the 4th quarter, the Indian’s had Butler rattled with their newfound energy. However, after multiple penalties and several turn overs, the Indians couldn’t make a come back. The final score was 6:12. 

The Indian's ground ball leaders were sophpmores Tanner and Ethan Agnello, as well as senior Axel Kovelchick.  Sophomore goalie Ian Steele had 11 saves.  The Indian's struggled with winning face off's, only securing 5 total for the evening.
