SHALER AREA HIGH SCHOOL: 13
IHS boys varsity lacrosse met up with the Shaler Area Titans on the Titan’s turf Monday evening. The non-conference game was plagued with turn overs (22) which kept the defense on their feet the entire game. Sophomore Goalie Ian Steele had a work out with 14 saves. The final score was 13-1.
The IHS goal was made by junior Jake Albert with an assist from senior defenseman Axel Kovalchick. The ground ball leaders were the Kovalchick brothers, with Axel ending with (6) and Max (5). Freshman Ben Nettleton was 5/12 in faceoffs while freshman Daniel McAnulty was 2/4.
