Hello!

I hope everyone is doing well. Below you will find information on things happening with high school soccer in the coming months:

Open Gyms

Open gyms will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 am- 10 am beginning June 21st and will end August 4th. Open gyms will be a mix of conditioning, lifting, and skills. These are voluntary and will typically take place at the high school. Players should bring cleats, sneakers, shin guards, and plenty of fluids. 

Fall Dates to keep in mind:

TBD- player meeting.

1st week of August- parent meeting.  More information will be given in July.

August 6th (tentatively)- Alumni game (this is also a fundraiser for our girls team)

August 15th- first day of preseason

Preseason

Preseason will begin Monday, August 15th and run through the whole week. There are not set times as of yet, but you can expect a morning practice and an evening practice each day. Players should bring cleats, shin guards, running shoes, and plenty of fluids.

IHS Athletic Website

A couple of notes about the schedule:

1. The schedule may change as we approach the season, so please be sure to continue to recheck the webpage.

2. There is a separate tab for girls varsity and girls junior varsity. For the most part, we play on the same days. However, there are times an opponent may not have enough players so it will be a varsity only match.

3. Next to where it says "Girls Varsity Soccer" is the fall season in blue letters. You want to make sure you click on it and choose "Fall 2022-2023." Sometimes it will automatically pull up the previous season's schedule by default so you will need to change it to find the upcoming season's schedule.

There is also a "forms & links" tab on the IHS athletic webpage. This is where you will find the sports season and physical information as well as the pay to participate forms. Please have these done and turned in by the time preseason begins!

Labor Day Tournament

The annual labor day tournament will be held the weekend before labor day this year. Tentative dates are August 26th and 27th. This is typically held at the high school turf and grass fields. More information to follow.

Fundraising

We have kicked off fundraising with three fundraisers completed. Thank you to all who have been involved in any way! It takes a lot of people to get these going and be as successful as possible! Upcoming fundraisers: potentially a golf outing in July, alumni game in August, and a senior-led fundraiser TBD. We are aiming to purchase warm-ups for the team this fall!
