WEST SHAMOKIN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 1
On Thursday the softball team beat West Shamokin 11-1 in a non-section game. Haleigh Zimmerman had a triple, Sara Zimmerman had a double and Cleo McMahan hit two doubles. Cleo was 3 for3 and 3 RBI’s, Sara was 2 for 3 and had 2 RBI’s. Audrey Barbus had 2 hits. Haleigh was the winning pitcher with 9 strikeouts and 3 walks.
In a game played Saturday in Homer City for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive, Indiana beat Homer Center 11-1. Haleigh Zimmerman had a homerun, Cleo McMahan and Audrey Barbus each had a double. Sara Zimmerman was 2 for 2, Cleo McMahan was 3 for 3 and had 2 RBI’s, and Haleigh was 3 for 4 and had
3 RBI’s. Haleigh pitched 3 innings and had 1 strikeout. Ashlyn Winslow pitched the last 3 innings.
