It was a record setting evening for the Indiana boys 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams Friday night at a TSTCA Invitational at Edinboro University which included about 70 teams. The evening started with the squad of Matt Berzonsky, Kendall Brannan, Joey Bujdos, Iago Jopia Astray winning the 4x800 relay with a school record and current Pennsylvania top performance of 8:11.47. In the 4x400 relay Berzonsky, Brannan, and Bujodos teamed with Jack Finegan to win the even in a school record time of 3:35.46. Individually Jameson Kutz made his season debut and took first place in the triple jump with a leap of 40' 8".
Other Indiana athletes placing in the top 8 in their respective events included: Faith Hartle (3rd place pole vault 9' 6"), Isabelle McCabe (6th place 1600 metrs 5:44.05), Iago Jopia Astray (7th place 3000 meters 9:23.38), and Evan Ray (8th place high jump 5' 8"),.
The team will return to action this coming Thursday night at Penn State University in a State College High School Invitational.
