Varsity Winter Track @ Penn State University

Game Date: Jan 9, 2020

It was a record setting night as the Indiana Track and Field team participated in their second meet of the season last night at Penn State University in an invitational hosted by State College High School. Jameson Kutz led the team with his first place finishes in both the triple jump (44-0.5) and the long jump (20-1.). Isaac Roadman won the pole vault with a height of 14-6.

Additionally three school records fell at yesterday's meet. Individually Kendall Branan led the way resetting the standard for two records that he already held. Branan bettered his own indoor records in the 400 meters winning the event with a time of 49.65 and in the 200 metered placing 3rd with a time of 23.40. The boys 4x200 meter relay team of Kutz, Branan, Evan Cox, and Owen Putt set the third record of the day in winning the race with a time of 1:37.45.

Other athletes placing in the top 8 of their respective events included:

Joel Beckwith (mile - 5th place - 4:40.63, 3000 meters - 3rd place - 9:32.03)

Tucker Davis (mile - 6th place - 4:47.39, 3000 meters - 4th place - 9:40.87)

Will Methven (shot put - 8th place - 38-1)

Zach Killeen (pole vault - 4th place - 12-6)

Sara Welch (triple jump - 6th place - 31-11.25)

Amelia Kuzneski (high jump - 6th place - 4-8)

The team's next meet with be January 18th at Edinboro University.
