Varsity Winter Track at Penn State University

Game Date: Jan 23, 2020

The Indiana Indoor Track and Field team competed with 19 other schools last evening at a State College High School Invitational held at Penn State University. It was another record breaking evening as two records set earlier in the year were bettered on the night. Kendall Branan continued his strong senior season by winning the 400 meters in a time of 49.40 which bettered his previous school record time. In the 4x200 meter relay Branan teamed up with Jameson Kutz, Owen Putt, and Evan Cox to take 3rd place in the event and break their own school record time with an effort of 1:35.71.

The Indians also had two other event winning performances as Isaac Roadman took 1st place in the pole vault (14-6) and Kutz won the triple jump (43-9).

Other athletes placing in the top 8 of their respective events included:

Kutz (3rd place - long jump - 20-4.25)

Zach Killeen (4th place - pole vault - 13-0)

Boys 4x800 relay team (Branan, Putt, Jack Finegan, John Berzonsky - 3rd place - 8:43.66)

Joel Becwith (3rd place - 3000 meters - 9:27.93)

Tucker Davis (4th place - 3000 meters - 9:39.91)

Josh Saurer (7th place - pole vault - 10-6)

Putt (7th place - 400 meters - 53.48)

Julian Yerger (7th place - 3000 meters - 9:52.21)

Will Methven (7th place - shot put - 38-5)

Boys 4x400 relay team (Finegan, John Berzonsky, Clayton Weaver, and Will Berzonsky - 6th place - 4:00.42)

Faith Hartle ( 5th place - pole vault - 9-6)

Sara Welch (7th place - long jump - 14-10 and 7th place - triple jump - 31 - 7.25)

The team will compete next on February 8th at Edinboro University.
