Game Date
May 3, 2019

The Indiana Track and Field teams weathered a 90 minute rain delay while winning 5 events and setting 3 school records Friday night at the Altoona Mt. Lion Invitational.  The boys started and ended the meet on a high note winning both the 4x800 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay.  In the 4x800 the team of Kendall Branan, Joey Bujdos, Matt Berzonsky, and Iago Jopia won the event with a school record time of 7:54.67.  That betters the previous record of 7:55.31 set in 2014 by Darrious Carter, Cole Rosenberger, Adam Lenze, and Ryan Louther.  In the 4x400 meter relay the team of Branan, Bujdos, Berzonsky, and Luke Ciocca ran a season's best time of 3:27.91 in winning the event.

In between the winning relays, the Indians secured 3 individual wins.  Kendall Branan bettered his own school record 800 meter time by running a 1:54.86.  Teammate Joey Bujdos was not far behind taking second in the 800 with a  fine time of 1:56.77.  Isaac Roadman set the third school record of the day while winning the pole vault with a jump of 14-10.  The previous record of 14-9 was held by Joey McCombie set in 2007.  The third individual win for the team occured on the girls side of the ledger where Parker Fanella won the girls discus with a throw of 107-6.
