FROM COACH JEFF DUFFEE ON JR. HIGH FOOTBALL - Grade 7 & 8....

I just wanted to remind all interested football players that the start of the JH football season will be Monday August 24th.  The paper I gave to the interested players previously had the 17th as the start date, but PIAA pushed it back until the 24th.  We plan to give out equipment on the 24th.  We will try to stagger the arrival times.  Eighth graders come at 3:00 p.m. and 7th graders will come at 4:00 p.m..  The equipment handout will be in the basement of the Jr. High School  It is in the stairwell next to the cafeteria on the Chestnut Street side of the school.  Players can be dropped off at that door.  Usually we leave the equipment in the locker room, but each player will be asked to bring their equipment home at the end of practice.  A decision hasn't been made yet about what we will do once school starts.

Practice the first week will go from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m..  We will only wear helmets for our heat week.

All physicals must be completed and forms completed and turned in for players to be able to start practicing on Monday, August 24.  The forms can be given to me at the summer conditioning or brought to practice on the 24th.

PRE-SEASON CONDITIONING:

Tuesday August 18th:  Final summer conditioning   8:30 - 10:00 a.m.

Thursday August 20th:  NO Summer conditioning

Monday August 24th: Equipment handout and start of heat week at the Junior High

August 24th-28th:  Heat Week    3:00 - 5:30 p.m.
